Friends & Family Friday: ABC’s of Spring

Our family has been enjoying the changes that come with a new season!
The past month sure has kept us busy.
Take a look at what we have been up to lately.
A is for ACTIVITIES and ADVENTURES outside!
(Ethan enjoying the water table at G and Poppy’s house)
He crawled around barefoot in the grass,  got pushed on the swing, and explored the neighborhood in his stroller…..
all with the sunshine beaming down on his face!
Life is always good at Grandma and Grandpa’s!
B is for….BASEBALL SEASON!
Could he look any more adorable donning his new ball cap to represent his favorite team?? Regardless of how baseball season has started out, he knows to never lose hope and always stay optimistic! Hey…got to start him young.  There is some big time sports rivalry going on between both sides of the family.  You’ve got the Cubs and Cardinals and the Blackhawks and Blues.
No matter what team he roots for, he will always be the cutest fan.
C is for COLORS popping up everywhere!!!
(Easter Gift for my nephew, Jaxson)
FINALLY….it feels like the barren, bleak landscape has been revived!!  After this very long winter, flowers are beginning to bloom and the grass is GREEN!  Bold, bright colors are popping up all around.
(Easter gift for my niece, Olivia)

Now, anyone who knows me, understands my love for baskets and making little creations out of them.  Easter is always an occasion that I tend to go a little crazy.  But, this year, I decided to forego traditional baskets. I was inspired by some cheerful wrapping paper that I came across.  I just couldn’t resist.  Polka Dots and Paisley?  These just shout Spring!
Yellows, Teals, Pinks, and Oranges are just the way to brighten my day!
D is for DIGGING IN THE DIRT & playing in the yard!
(Backyard Explorer – Can I eat these wood chips, mom?!)

We aren’t taking this beautiful weather for granted.
Getting outdoors and moving around is just what the doctor ordered!
So much to be seen and touched….Ethan has been in his element!
E is for EASTER and time spent with family!
Isn’t this the cutest book? It’s based off the infamous book,
“Twas the Night Before Christmas”.
The teacher in me will always love a cute book to go along with each holiday.

And so the journey has begun…
This little man is gaining confidence day by day and attempting to venture out on his own. He is starting the beginning stages of walking (holding onto someone’s hand, of course). I’m not quite sure how time has escaped me as of late….but he needs to slow down on this growing up thing.  Seriously.

I’d say his first visit with Mr. Bunny was deemed a success.
He didn’t kick and scream or cry! Although, that could have made for
a more entertaining picture…hah.
From our family to yours, Happy Easter!
We hope you have a wonderful weekend and get
outside to enjoy the beautiful weather!
