Calling all parents of toddlers and young children!! If you have a little one who LOVES all things transportation like my little guy….you must keep reading! Boy or girl, it doesn’t matter, these books are engaging for all kids. All of their favorites are included:
planes, trains, tractors, dump trucks, construction vehicles, fire trucks, race cars, police cars, buses, helicopters…pretty much anything that moves you can find within the pages of one of these books!
While reading these, kids will learn about different types of vehicles and what they do! Some of them are stories, serving as the perfect read-aloud, while others are look and see books that help build vocabulary! One of my favorites from above is Builder Goose, which is a spin off of the well-known Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes. I can’t help but to sing out the tune on each page as I read. It’s such a cute and clever book for young kids! Not quite sure who likes this one more, me or my son?!
Some of them come in a series, which are our favorites! Those of you who grew up with Richard Scarry books know how fun it was to look through each and every detailed page to find something new and unique. Well, there is a collection of transportation books and they are great!
Another fantastic series is AMAZING MACHINES. The set actually comes with 10 books, but I’ve listed 9 of them below. The books are perfect for preschool and early elementary aged children. They contain colorful illustrations, rhyming phrases, and a variety of animals as the main characters.
These are just SOME of our favorites that we wanted to share with you all. Any of these books would make wonderful additions to an Easter basket, birthday gift, baby shower arrangement, etc.
