Watch It Wednesday: Autism Awareness Day

It’s April 2nd.  More importantly, it’s National Autism Awareness Day.   1 in 68 children are born with this disorder.  My niece is one of them. This fantastic article is a beautiful and poignant compilation of what autism is, according to people who experience it in their own lives.  The statements they have shared are riveting.  The words spoken are raw, honest, and real. I hope this article and video both bring a little bit of perspective to your life.

Motivation Monday: Letter #2 – Standing Up

This may be your first time visiting my blog for a “Motivation Monday” post. Welcome!  I just got started with a  new series called Love Letters.  Don’t worry, it’s not about me getting all mushy.  It’s a different kind of love letter. They are messages written for my son, including stories and tidbits about life.  I write him notes about topics I feel are important that he comes to learn and understand. It isn’t your retirement party either. IT’S YOUR FUNERAL. Wait, hold on…are we really going to {Read More}

Motivation Monday: Love Letter #1 (NGU)

            Don’t worry.  I’m not going to get all mushy on you at the start of your week.  No…you did not read the post title incorrectly.  It did, in fact, say “Love Letter”.   But, it isn’t quite what you think. The type of “love letter” I will be writing each week is meant for someone that I love, but not in the romantic kind of way.  Rather, they are letters for my son. They are intended to leave {Read More}

Watch It Wednesday: A Little Song & Dance

It’s the middle of the work week and most of us are in need of a good laugh. Well, this reenactment of a well-known song is sure to do the trick. It is a little touch of genius, if you ask me.  Who won’t find these soldiers downright hilarious?!   Putting their masculinity aside, they sure know how to have some fun. Can’t argue with these moves.      Just watch for yourself and see…. Quite synchronized, wouldn’t you say? {Read More}

Motivation Monday: Creativity Takes Courage

We all experience those lackluster moments in life…..days when we go through the motions, shuffle through schedules and routines, cross off our  to-do lists….AND let the things we are passionate about go by the wayside.   Slowly, over time, a void of creativity settles in and we don’t find as much worth and meaning in what we do.  Am I saying that every person should have a job that they love and makes them feel fulfilled?  No, that is not {Read More}
